F.A.Q.
Where is your furniture made?
All Muu furniture is made in the United States by a woodworking family with over three decades of experience. They blend craftsmanship and innovative manufacturing to produce the highest quality furniture for you.
What is your furniture made of?
We build our furniture using locally-sourced hardwood from verified sustainable sources and MDF made from certified environmentally-friendly recycled wood fibers. We source MDF that does not add formaldehyde. Our products are finished with non-toxic lacquer. For more about our commitment to sustainability, click here.
Do Muu cribs meet US and Canadian safety standards?
Yes. Muu products meet all applicable US and Canadian safety standards. We test our cribs at an independent testing laboratory for compliance with US and Canadian law as well as ASTM industry standards ASTM-F-1169 and F-966. In addition, we voluntarily participate in the Juvenile Products Manufacturers Association certification program that subjects us to random product testing.
How do I assemble my Muu furniture?
The good news is that our cribs and twin beds can be easily assembled in less than an hour. The better news is that many of our other pieces require absolutely no assembly! Just open the box and enjoy.
I want to buy a different MuuPanel for my Ray Crib or Storage Unit. Will the replacement Sam Collection Panels fit?
Yes, MuuPanels on your Ray Crib can be updated with replacement panels from the Sam Collection. The same is true for using Sam Dresser MuuPanels in your Ray Storage Unit.

How do I replace my MuuPanel?
Locate the access hole on your furniture directly behind the MuuPanel (for example on the inside of the dresser door). While loosely holding the panel with one hand, with the other hand gently push your finger through the hole towards the panel until the magnet disengages. That’s it! To see a demonstration of how the MuuPanel system works, watch our short animated video.
What is your return policy?
When receiving your furniture, please carefully inspect all boxes for damage and only receive items in that appear in good condition. If you choose to receive materials that appear to have damage, you must note it on the delivery forms and keep all documentation and original packaging. Please contact us at service@muukids.com
within five (5) business days so that we may provide assistance with damage issues. Failure to follow this policy may impact our ability to help you successfully resolve any claims for damage.
Because Muu furniture is built to order, we can only accept returns due to manufacturing defects or shipping errors. Within five (5) days of receiving our merchandise, you are responsible for notifying us of any error in delivery or any defect in the merchandise by emailing service@muukids.com. Upon receiving a returned merchandise authorization number (RMA), you have seven (7) days to return any new merchandise shipped in error or merchandise that is found to be defective. Furniture returned for any other reason will be assessed a handling and restocking charge of 15% in addition to the cost of shipping. No furniture may be returned without an RMA. For defective furniture, please provide a detailed description of the defect and a photo so that we can best assist you. Manufacturer's defects are covered for a period of up to one (1) year from the date of purchase. In the event of a manufacturer's defect we will work to correct the problem by either sending a replacement for the defective part, or if we determine that the defect cannot be remedied, we will exchange it for comparable merchandise as determined by us upon your return of the defective merchandise to us.
How do I care for my Muu furniture and MuuPanels?
Use of a non-toxic surface cleaner and a cotton cloth is recommended. Never use harsh abrasives.
Why does the color of my MuuPanel look different in person than it does on my computer?
Because of how your computer is adjusted, colors on your computer can look different than they do in person. In addition there are occasionally slight variations in how colors are printed due to the nature of the printing process.
